Rabies Shots and a Jaywalking Ticket

I think my cat, Appa, thinks I am super adorable that he decided to bite me. Well, if I had it my way, that's how I would show my fondness to Jan too. Except, there will be no bleeding.

Appa is actually sweet and affectionate. He follows me wherever I am. He sits on my lap whenever I work. Snuggles beside me when I'm on my bed. And right now, alcsfnhacflhan ;j;dh;jhb[dtu[ he's helping me write this post. Awww... thank you so much, buddy! His sweetness makes me forget that cats are naturally shady characters. Perhaps, he was actually trying to murder me because his breakfast was not served on time. I did not see him the whole day, so I can only assume he's plotting his next move after a failed murder attempt.

But if my cat did not kill me, the rabies shots will. Google simply told me that one vial costs more than a thousand pesos and I need at least 3 shots for it. 4 if he's proven rabid (which I think he's not. I believe he's just a murderous, raving lunatic). The cost did give me a heart attack but not close to killing me though. Try harder, Appa.

Anyway, I rushed to the Animal Bite Center and had some tetanus and rabies shots. And surprisingly, I did not have to pay for the shots. Yaaaas! I just have to shell out Php 82.50 for the injection fee for all sessions. Then I went off my merry way knowing I just got off the hook from dying a horrific death.

Afterwards, I decided to have a burger for breakfast and walked mindlessly towards Jollibee when a CTTM Officer called my attention. And the next thing I know, I am scheduled to attend a mandatory pedestrian orientation for violating the city's Anti-Jaywalking Ordinance. I think I could've died of embarrassment while being apprehended in public. But I was just laughing inside my head asking what the fudge have I gotten myself into this time.

Well, shit happens. And it's a fact in life that we can never get away from. But it's not permanent. So that's okay. My mornings usually follow the same boring routine. A bite from a suspected murderous cat and a jaywalking ticket just added a little flavor to it. But I will certainly not have any of that ever again because it doesn't taste good. But hey, I had Jollibee's Chiken Joy for lunch with Jan at home... so it's not a bad day after all. :)

Feb-ibig All Year Round

I spent two days racking my brains out trying to fix a bug that I have coded. I already gave up on it, I wasn't willing to pull an all-nighter, and I was so ready to deliver a half-assed job.

Then Jan came to the rescue and it only took him less than an hour to fix the issue. While I was so amazed at his awesomeness, honestly, I felt so bobo at that time. Haha. Pucha bai, dalawang araw kong hinahanapan ng solution yun. Sa kanya, wala pang isang oras na solve nya na. Okay, for the record, I graduated with a degree in Nursing and was not schooled to develop websites. So I'll make that an excuse for that moment of kabobohan. Haha.

But then, It can't be denied that he's really smart (intelligence is really sexy and it pays to have a smart boyfriend). But more than feeling so noob for not being able to fix a VERY SIMPLE bug, I felt so loved. He stayed up late at night with me even though it was already past his sleep time and mind you, he still has to work the next day. Well, it's not the first time he has gone the extra mile for me. It's not the first time he has done so much for me. It's not the first time he has pulled me right up whenever I start giving up. And I can't be thankful enough for having him in my life.

So now I am thinking... since his birthday is coming next month, I might as well buy this guy a helmet. Baka mauntog pa ulo nito at matauhan sa pagkahumaling nya sa akin. Haha.
Yes, a recycled image. Haha
Ang ganda ng pasok ng February ko. Feb-ibig is really in the air. But then, with him around? Feb-ibig goes all year round. :)

I wish everyone a month year full of love!

My First Vlog Ever

I finally mustered the "confidence" to do a vlog.

It really isn't as hard as I imagined it to be. But perhaps, I got through it too easily that I think it sucks. Really.

No matter, I had so much fun doing this. I don't remember the last time I laughed for no reason at all and it took quite a few takes before I could get it done properly.

Please don't hesitate to tell me how much it sucks because that will really help me a lot. :)

And oh, please don't forget to subscribe.

Crabtastic and Crabsolutely Delicious Crabs in Town

I pity those people with seafood allergies. They are missing a lot. Actually, I am allergic to crabs. But unlike others, I can still eat a bucketful without throwing up or blowing up like a balloon. I would just have a few really really itchy red spots all over my limbs that's just easy deal with. It won't send my lungs to an overdrive or worse, kill me. And that's a pretty good thing knowing my absolute love for crabs is non-negotiable.

A week ago, Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps invited me and a few blogger friends to their private launching of their third branch here in Davao City. Of course, I would rather kill myself if I have to say No to it. Kidding! But it would really be a bummer if I missed it. This is Blue Posts we're talking about. I've heard great stories about this. It's something I definitely don't want to miss.

And the stories were right.

The food was so good, it's no surprise that I ate a lot.
