Workadas

I feel so blessed to have such friends who'd be there for you through thick and thin, have seen your worst, to whom you can be absolutely stupid with, and the only ones who has the license to punch or slap you at the back and you know it is still okay. I do have a lot of friends, but only three cliques are really close to my heart to which I consider my family:

Berchmans, my ever laagan, kalog, and fun barkada since high school:

Bluffers, my college buddies. Despite our differences (sowshal vs. praktikal), we still get along in so many ways:

And last but not the least, The Annoyings, my childhood church friends. These are the people who are anointed to bring catastrophe to the church. haha kidding.

And we have more silly photos here.
Most people who know me know that I've almost entirely shut myself from social life after giving birth and deciding to work from home instead. Oh the perils of working from home. I didn't know how I kept my sanity but for four years, I'm glad I survived. And for that matter, I should also give thanks to the internet for keeping me within reach.

Anyway, the moment I stepped out from isolation, I thought I became introvert, shy and diffident. But I guess I'll never be one for I never thought I'd be able to rekindle the same old me: talkative, easygoing and amiable, to which I believe are the reasons why I can easily gain a lot of friends.

And so I quote Albert Schweitzer, "In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit." The quote holds true because that indeed happened to me.

Today is exactly 5 months since I left my hermit life. And within that short span, I can't believe I'm blessed with new friends that I now consider my family: my workadas. It's a portmanteau of the words: work and barkada. Yep, they are my office mates.

I'm glad that I am again surrounded with happy people, to which they never fail to give me a hearty laughter throughout the day. I'm glad to belong with crazy people to whom I can get along with despite our timely bullying and insults to each other (buti na lang walang pikon! haha). And I'm glad to have found new friends that I can be myself, without pretensions and without hesitation to show them even the fugliest of me.

We braved floods and heavy rain just to have dinner at home. haha
I may not have been showered with wealth and riches, nor an amazing lovelife (haha), but I got awesome friends - this, aside from my family, can keep me going. My friends and I may have huge differences, we may not get along in many ways. But I guess, that doesn't really matter. I got their back and they got mine, and I love them to bits. I believe that's all that really matters. :)

To all my friends out there, here's a song for you:

I'm back! :)

I haven't had much time to go online lately. Obviously, I haven't blogged. In fact, I forgot I still have a blog. haha. Ok, I didn't pay $10 a year for a domain name just to send this blog to oblivion. And I miss writing. So yes, I'm back.

I actually have a lot to tell, Christmas, 2014 drama, badminton (my new found love), lessons learned, new books I've read, rants, ravings, and so much more. But I'll have this short post for now just to let you guys know that I am still alive and kicking.

Well anyway, it's Saturday and I've got laundry to do (tragic, yes). But just for a short update, I'm back to staying in shape not for the reason of wanting to lose weight. I once had the stamina of a horse and that's what I am aiming for. I'm preparing myself for something big, strenuous, and of course, something very rewarding.

Let's stay fit and sane! hehe

Ta-ta for now! :)
