SarBay Fest 2013

What's not to love about pristine beaches with a long stretch of white powdery shores? Plus, there are fun-filled activities you can enjoy by the day - games, sports, body painting, henna tattoo, water and sand activities; then a rock concert, pageant, foam party and magnificent fireworks display to end the fest! Yes, everything happened in Sarangani Bay Fest 2013.

SarBay Fest is a 2-day beach festival held last May 24-25 at Gumasa, Glan, Sarangani. I am one of the 70,000 attendees. Gosh! I never thought it would be that many. Well, it wouldn't be called Mindanao's biggest beach festival for no reason. But the despite the number of people, it wasn't that stressful, it was actually very fun.

I'm still at lost for words at the beauty Sarangani beaches have to give. Everything looks so stunning and amazing.Anyway, I won't be too generous with words because everything I say will be an understatement. The pictures, which I am well aware do not do justice to the beauty of the place, will tell you all. :)

Jet Ski Competition. There was also Bankarera, Sand building comp., Fun run, Beach volley, Beach football, and other sports and mini-games that I wasn't able to take pictures of.

10 minute fireworks display to end the fest.
It's been more than 10 years since Davao's firecracker/fireworks ban. You should know how much this amazes me. Nganga is the word. Yes, my jaw-dropped the entire time. ;)

See you again Sarangani Bay!
The place alone is very beautiful. Sprinkle it with music, party, and booze, then add a lot of fun. What's the reason not to go back? We will definitely be back in 2014. Summer has just ended but it ended with a blast!

  1. Oh my gosh! This is the biggest beach party I've ever heard. Were all attendees from Mindanao only? Manny should be in this appearance since Saranggani is his territory. Lol, just kidding. :)

    1. Last year he was there. This year it was announced that he will come, but I never saw him. Attendees are from all over the country. There was even one who brought his jetski all the way from Manila. :)

  2. The waves splashing along the seashore look refreshing and the people are enjoying their surfing activity. This is the first time that I heard about SarBay Fest.

  4. A travel blogger friend of mine went there this weekend. I would've wanted to come but my funds were tight. Anyway, looks like the beach festival did go with a bang.

  5. Haven't had the chance to visit any beach this summer. Anyway, first chance to see in pictures the pristine beach shore of Saranggani, it must be lovelier up close.

  7. I badly want to go to a white sand beach this summer but we really don't have time.. :(

It looks like it's fun in SarBay Fest and that foam party! The last time I had foam party (or was it?) was in Enchanted Kingdom with my nephew. :D

  10. Wow, through the SarBay Fest, Sarangani is getting more famous to tourist. Your local officials should push more and promote the festivity.

  11. That sure looks like a fun party - I absolutely love the fireworks! Beach parties here in our place aren't as lively as that one you have there.

p.s. ang sexy niyo po! :)

  12. This is a major event for party goers here in Mindanao. Heard a lot of fun stories from my friends, too bad I wasn't able to join. :-(
